Sports & Society Reading Group: Gender, Race, and Compensation in College Sports
The Sports & Society reading group will meet on Friday, February 2nd from 3:00-4:30pm in DUC-242.
We’ll be discussing NCAA President Charlie Baker’s December proposal to create a special subdivision to compensate college athletes through the lens of Kirsten Hextrum’s work in her 2021 book, Special Admission: How College Sports Recruitment Favors White, Suburban Athletes.
