As a part of the American Culture Studies' Modern Segregation Program Initiative, Heather Ann Thompson, Associate Professor of History and African and African American Studies at Temple University, and Koritha MItchell, Associate Professor of English, Ohio State University will each give a presentation on the theme of "Modern Segregation: Identity, Place and Violence." This is the first of four parts, Introductions, with remarks from AMCS Director and Professor of History, Iver Bernstein, followed by Assistant Professor of History, Sowande' Mustakeem.
